LSE Book Club

On Friday you will have the chance to sign up for Club Day. Mrs. Schumacher and I will be sponsoring a book club here at Southeast. Because it is new this year, you the students who choose to join will have the opportunity to design it. We are open to reading a group book, having a chance to share what you have read, discussions about the books you want to see in the Media Center or other book related issues. It is up to you!

On another note, I had a chance to read a great book this summer. The Tequila Worm by Viola Canales. It is funny and filled with the adventures of Sofia as she, and two other Mexican American students from her area, is chosen to receive a scholarship to attend a boarding school. Really a great book about how to love you for who you are and others for who they are.
